Hey, it's Ethan here at etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Kuat Piston SR Single Bike Rack and how it fits on a 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 2500. We have ours on the bed ladder rack in our case, we see it on roof racks sometimes, but we see it on a lot of ladder racks too. So if you're interested in using it in this way, we'll show you how it works. The Piston is a single bike platform-style bike rack capable of supporting one bike up to 67 pounds and held primarily with this dual wheel mount design, so there's no frame contact. As you can see, we have our carbon frame bike on in our case and I'm not gonna be worried about any damages it's gonna take while it's traveling, 'cause there's no contact to the frame bike. more

Malone Roof Bike Racks Review - 2020 Chevrolet Equinox

Hey everyone, Charles here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at the Malone Pilot Roof Mounted Bike Rack on the 2020 Chevrolet Equinox. So this bike rack is going to let you carry weights up to 33 pounds, and it is going to be a front wheel mount which is gonna be my favorite type of mounting option for your bikes because you don't have to clamp anything down to the frame. So it's perfect for your carbon frame bikes and just a lot of different shaped and wheel size bikes. So we're gonna have three top attachment points the front wheel mount, and then a strap on each tire. The construction is made out of aluminum and steel. So it is gonna be very durable last a long time and be rust free and corrosion resistant as well. more

Today on our 2011 Chevy Traverse, we'll be test fitting the Yakima front loader roof mounted bike rack, part number Y02103. Starting at the front, we'll need to loosen up the large black T handle and position the front tube brackets around the front and back side of the front crossbar. It helps if you lift the bike rack up at a 45 degree angle. Once the front brackets are in place, I'll move to the rear and position the back bracket around the rear crossbar. I'll need to insert the silver T bolt into the slot in the bottom bracket and then to give us some more room when tightening down the black wing nut I'm going to unfold the front part of the wheel hook. This allows me to tighten down the black wing nut more freely. Once the rear is tight, I'll move back up to the front and tighten down the large black T handle to secure the front part of the bike rack to the front bar. Once everything is all tightened down and secured, then we're ready to load up our bike. Since the front part of the wheel hook is already unfolded all we need to do is undo the back tray strap. We'll pick up our bike and place it onto the bike rack, sliding it forward to allow the back part of the wheel hook to come up and rest on the back part of the front tire. more

I'm going to make sure the black bolts are on both the front and back side of the rear crossbar. Then I can swing the bracket around and insert the bolt into the hole of the plate. I'll then re-install the black wing nut but I won't tighten it down all the way. I'll move up to the front and take the rubber-coated U-bolts to go around the underside of the front crossbar up through the predrilled holes at the head of the bike rack. more

Yakima FrontLoader Roof Bike Rack Review - 2014 Chevrolet Traverse- Video

Yakima FrontLoader Roof Bike Rack Review - 2014 Chevrolet Traverse

Speaker: Today on our 2014 Chevy Traverse we're going to be test-fitting the Yakima Frontloader roof-mounted bike rack, part number Y02103. We'll begin our test-fit by placing the rack on top of our vehicle. We'll go ahead and do that now. I'm going to go ahead and open the doors on the vehicle just so I'm able to stand in them have a little bit more reach. For the front bar, as you can see there's the hook here on the front which runs all the way across the front of it and then a single hook at the back. What we're going to do is we're going to position to where we're going to close down the knob here on the front and that's going to bring that back jaw down on the bar. As we tighten it down on there it's going to bring both the two clamps of the jaw, or jaws of the clamp, excuse me, together. Nice thing of this rack with it having the style of fastening mechanism, you're able to put it on several different types of bars. If you have this style bar on one vehicle and then another style on a different vehicle, you can transfer it from vehicle to vehicle. With that tightened down we'll go ahead and go to our back bar and secure it back there. more
